Great Expectations’ middle school has been graduating remarkably accomplished readers over the past decade, and we’d like to honor our dedicated teaching team and the students who push themselves to become better readers than they believed they could be. Your hard work does not go unseen!
Reading is like most lessons at GES; we begin slow to go fast. The nuts and bolts of building a culture of reading is every bit a 9 year journey, and the results of the climb are clearest at the peak.
We believe the reading results we achieve are part of our broader program, to learn in a setting that focuses on social and emotional learning, feeling safe to take risks and ask questions, and includes outdoor learning and community involvement. The following chart is from the reports that GES produce for its Authorizer, Osprey Wilds, every year for charter school goal reporting.
